This Mandela Month, we are coming together to honour Madiba’s legacy through service, compassion and meaningful action. 

Across Sasol, our people are volunteering their time and energy to support children in hospitals, healthcare facilities and oncology units through care package initiatives, volunteer activities and community outreach programmes. Through these efforts, we are helping to bring comfort, dignity and hope to children and families facing difficult circumstances. 

As Thabile Makgala, Executive Vice President: People, Risk, SHE and Corporate Affairs, reminds us: 

“67 minutes may be symbolic, but purpose gives those minutes power.” 

That spirit is at the heart of this year’s Mandela Month campaign. Guided by the theme 67 Minutes. One Purpose. Limitless Impact., we are creating opportunities throughout the month for our employees, partners and communities to make a meaningful difference. 

A key part of the campaign is our Sasol Friendly Neighbour initiative. Across participating Sasol Convenience Centres, we are inviting customers and community members to join us in packing care bags for children who need a little extra comfort, encouragement and joy. 

Every care bag packed is more than a collection of items. It is a message of care. A reminder that a child is seen, valued and supported by a community that cares. It is also a powerful example of what is possible when people come together around a shared purpose. 

Whether you can spare a few minutes or your full 67 minutes, we invite our customers to visit one of our participating Friendly Neighbour sites and lend a helping hand. Together, we can turn small acts of kindness into meaningful impact and help create brighter moments for children and families who need them most.
