This month, Sasol continues its support for the Tofo Surf Series as part of the journey to position the organisation as a credible partner and good corporate citizen in Mozambique.
The sponsorship of the Tofo Surf Series, which takes place from October (1st and 2nd) and December (17th and 18th), at Tofo Beach – approximately 20 minutes from Inhambane City forms part of Sasol’s contribution to the country of Mozambique and is in line with Sasol’s commitment to sustainable development and delivering meaningful contribution to the communities within which it operates.
Country Manager for Sasol Mozambique, Ovidio Rodolfo said: “We are excited about this sponsorship, and it is an excellent example of how we can deliver through partnerships. Sasol’s approach to sustainable development depends on building strong and mutually beneficial relationships and we are proud to be working with the Tofo Surf Series and contributing to the development of sport codes in the country.”
The Series is a recurrent surf competition with 3 events per year held in Tofo Beach, with a duration of 2 days per event and the winners of each event will participate at the regional Championship in South Africa. Tofo Beach is a privileged and internationally recognized location for the practice of surfing, with a considerable set of conditions (hosting and security) for this practice.
