In November 2025, we partnered with the Childhood Cancer Foundation of South Africa (CHOC) to launch a Toy Drive aimed at bringing comfort and moments of happiness to children undergoing cancer treatment.
As always, Team Sasolburg and Natref Operations (SNO) responded with remarkable kindness and generosity. By 17 December 2025, more than 200 toys had been collected and handed over to CHOC, creating smiles, easing anxiety and offering precious moments of joy to young patients and their families during an incredibly difficult time.
Each toy represented more than a gift. It was a gesture of care, compassion and hope. The goal of this initiative was simple yet powerful: to put a smile on the faces of children facing cancer and to remind them that they are not alone.
Team SNO’s generosity, thoughtfulness and willingness to give made a real and lasting impact. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed and helped make this campaign such a meaningful success.

A message of appreciation from CHOC
CHOC shared their heartfelt gratitude:
Sasol’s caring act of kindness continues to bring joy, comfort and moments of normalcy to children undergoing cancer treatment.
For many of our young patients, a simple toy represents far more than a gift. It becomes a source of courage and emotional support during an incredibly challenging time. Through Sasol’s contribution, we created smiles, eased anxiety, and reminded our children and their families that they are not alone on their journey.
Your support enhances the psychosocial wellbeing of our beneficiaries and aligns with CHOC’s commitment to ensuring that no child faces cancer alone. We are grateful for your compassion and generosity. Thank you for standing with us and making a difference in the lives of children affected by cancer.
Spreading festive joy in Secunda
This spirit of employee giving continued in December. On Friday, 12 December, colleagues in Secunda hosted children from Janelle Huis, a shelter for vulnerable children in the Govan Mbeki Municipality.
Initiated by volunteers from the Sasol Junior Engineers Forum (JEF) and supported by fellow colleagues, the toy drive ensured that each child received a gift ahead of the festive season, offering a sense of joy, dignity and hope.

These initiatives reflect how our Corporate Social Investment (CSI) efforts are rooted in our community development strategy. We aim to uplift the quality of life in the communities where we operate by supporting programmes and services that drive sustainable, positive change.
Together, these acts of generosity show the powerful difference our people can make when they come together in the spirit of care, dignity and shared responsibility.
