A comunidade de Litlhau, em Inhassoro, acolheu no dia 4 de Setembro de 2025 mais uma edição do Mabulo (diálogo em língua local Xitswa) promovido pela Sasol em Moçambique com as lideranças comunitárias. Desde 2023, estes encontros anuais têm-se afirmado como espaços de escuta activa e de alinhamento de iniciativas de desenvolvimento.
“O Mabulo é fundamental porque reforça a proximidade com as comunidades. O nosso compromisso vai além da responsabilidade social corporativa, estende-se também ao contributo em impostos que beneficiam todos os moçambicanos”, destacou Ovídio Rodolfo, Director Geral da Sasol em Moçambique.
Tsama Cunene, líder comunitário de Chicuire, no distrito de Govuro, sublinhou: “O Mabulo dá voz às comunidades e fortalece a confiança com a Sasol.”
O Administrador de Inhassoro, Fernando Doda Muzombigua, acrescentou: “Estes encontros consolidam a relação entre a empresa e as comunidades, permitindo que as prioridades locais sejam ouvidas e transformadas em acções concretas.”
Já a Administradora de Govuro, Natália Chivambo, reforçou: “O diálogo aberto é a base para o desenvolvimento inclusivo. O Mabulo representa uma oportunidade para unir esforços em benefício do bem-estar colectivo.”
Na ocasião, foram igualmente reconhecidos os representantes comunitários no Comité de Parceria dos Acordos de Desenvolvimento Local (ADL I – 2020 a 2025), pelo empenho e dedicação demonstrados ao longo do mandato.
Sasol in Dialogue with Community Leaders from Govuro, Inhassoro and Vilankulo
The village of Litlhau, in Inhassoro district, hosted another edition of the Mabulo on 4 September 2025, the word “Mabulo” means “dialogue” in the local language, Xitswa. This dialogue has become a symbol of regular engagement between Sasol in Mozambique and community leaders. Since 2023, these annual meetings have evolved into structured forums for listening, debate and aligning local development priorities.
“The Mabulo is fundamental because it strengthens our community engagement efforts. Our commitment goes beyond corporate social responsibility and extends to the contribution in taxes that benefit all Mozambicans,” said Ovídio Rodolfo, Vice-President Mozambique Country Management and Corporate Affairs.
Community voices were prominent in the engagement. Tsama Cunene, leader of Chicuire in Govuro district, stressed: “The Mabulo gives communities a voice and builds trust with Sasol.”
From local government, Fernando Doda Muzombigua, Administrator of Inhassoro, added: “These meetings consolidate the relationship between the company and the communities, ensuring that local priorities are heard and translated into tangible actions.”
His counterpart in Govuro, Administrator Natália Chivambo, echoed the sentiment: “Open dialogue is the foundation of inclusive development. The Mabulo is an opportunity to unite efforts for the collective well-being.”
The occasion also saw recognition of community representatives serving in the Partnership Committee of the Local Development Agreements (ADL I – 2020 to 2025), they were applauded for their dedication and commitment throughout their mandate.
